Pogo-Table Scraps-2008

Pogo, musical artist of movie remixing fame, has also come out with a variety of EPs and even a studio album of music that is mostly original in that it is not made from clips of movies. And this shit is dank. Get it up in your iTunes homie. It's kinda sampley, a little glitchy, and a whole lot of electronicalness. It's chill if you know what I mean.

The Wombats / A Guide to Love Loss & Desperation / 2008

The Wombats Proudly Present: A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation is the first album to be released in Britain by British indie band The Wombats. It was released on November 5, 2007 on 14th Floor Records.[1] There is also a DVD to accompany the album which includes footage of them at the South by Southwest festival along with music videos from the band's recent singles. The album was recorded at the Rockfield Studios. The album managed to reach #11 in the UK Albums Chart. On the single for "Let's Dance to Joy Division" there is a B-side of "Derail and Crash" and a hidden track of the Fireman Sam theme song played by the band.

This album brought brit pop to the radio in 2009

Daedelus / Love to Make Music To / 2008

Very experimental shit. This guy makes his music in a program called Max, which is like a "visual programming language" for music. Very interesting. Some of it is rap, some of it is complicated percussion.

Eero Johannes-Eero Johannes-2008

Eero Johannes is an electronic music artist from Finland. He released his self-titled LP over two years ago, but I only just recently downloaded it myself. It was recommended to me as a good example of the musical genre Skweee which is supposed to be some kind of "cousin" to dubstep. And if you have spent any amount of time on Dats My Shit, you know how we feel about dubstep.
Skweee is a musical style, with origin in Nordic countries Sweden and Finland. Skweee combines simple synth leads and basslines with funk, r'n'b or soul-like rhythms, overall rendering a stripped-down funky sound. The tracks are mostly entirely instrumental, though there are exceptions... The name refers to the use of vintage synthesizers in the production process, where the aim is to "squeeze out" the most interesting sounds possible... Producers such as Rusko, Gemmy, Joker, Zomby, Rustie, Jamie Vex'd among others, have given their take on the sound resulting in several interesting releases on the boundary between skweee and dubstep.
Skweee FTW!!

Bonobo - Animal Magic - 2000

Bonobo is the stage name of Simon Green, a British musician, producer and DJ. Bonobo uses a wide variety of samples in his music combined with heavy, often complex basslines. His music generally develops linearly - with new elements such as basslines or percussion coming in one after the other. In Days to Come, he mixes this sonic background with the clean yet distinctive vocals of Bajka, who often uses harmony to build up a multifaceted sound.

Cloud Cult - Feel Good Ghosts - 2008

Cloud Cult is an experimental indie rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota led by singer/songwriter Craig Minowa. The name originated from the ancient prophecies of indigenous North Americans. Cloud Cult released a new album entitled Feel Good Ghosts (Tea-Partying Through Tornadoes) on April 8, 2008. The album was recorded and produced at Minowa’s small organic farm in Northern Minnesota.
